Disclsoure: I received the products below in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
If I had to classify my hair I’d call it wavy/curly. Some days its it wavy, other days it is full blown curly. Now that I have three kids to get ready for school, I don’t have a lot of time in the morning to work on my hair, unless of course I want to do it after I take them all to school already. I am more of a quick styling person and like products that can really work magic on my hair. Oh and my hair is thick and frizzy. Yeah for my hair. So I was skeptical about Aveda Naturally Smooth and how well it would work. Well let me say that I am more than hooked on this product, if that is even possible.
Now I used the product along with Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo and Conditioner as it suggests because I wanted it to really be perfect. I have never used Aveda before, I admit I am usually a cheap hair product person but then again maybe that is why it doesn’t look the way I want it too! Anyways, after I wash my hair I use a small amount of the Aveda Naturally Smooth cream and apply it to my hair. I only need to use a small amount so that $26 bottle is definitely going to last awhile. I will say too that it doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy with product or crunchy like some products do. I actually don’t even notice its in there until I feel how smooth my hair feels. After that I either blow-dry and straight iron or I just let it go. I admit I haven’t straightened my hair all summer, which usually I do it everyday. Just using the Aveda Naturally Smooth and letting it air dry makes a difference though!
This is no blow drying, but I did flat iron for about 3 minutes:
My hair likes to have a mind of its own and Aveda Naturally Smooth has been a huge help. Even the next day it still feels smooth and straight, and I usually wash my hair every other day so this is nice. It even has a humidity barrier of organic cassava extract and maize to defend against frizz. The more you use it, the easier it is to create straight, smooth styles so you can spend less time with a blow dryer and flat iron – that is my goal. Oh and its safe on relaxed and color treated hair. After five consecutive applications, hair will stay straight for up to three washes.
Aveda Naturally Smooth has worked miracles on my hair and it takes just a few seconds to apply it. Whether I let it air dry or flat iron it, my hair looks so much better than if I didn’t use it.

I understand this is an old thread but now that Aveda has discontinued the Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight I'm wondering if you have any alternatives. I'm desperate at this point.
Oh wow! There are a TON of products out there for hair but seeing your before and after you can tell that particular product really works! That's definitely a noticeable (and adorable) difference :)
Your hair looks really cute straight! I like that this product works so well without blow drying.
I love Aveda! I've been using their rosemary mint shampoo for years.
I must try this!!! My hair is curly and would love it straight on occasion
