I still remember the Cabbage Patch dolls I had as a child, which unfortunately didn’t survive to my adulthood. I remember two specifically, Dean and Bianca, and I carried those dolls everywhere with me. Well my daughter has finally gotten her first Cabbage Patch Doll and she is carrying her Katy doll everywhere!
To give Katy a touch of new school and modern her up, she comes with her very own Sketchers Twinkle Toes shoes! Yes I am talking about those shoes that light up when kids where them around. So just like the original Cabbage Patch Kids, each ‘Kid still comes with removable clothes, a birth certificate and adoption papers with a one of a kind name and that classic baby powder scent we expect, but now she comes with fashionable shoes!
The Twinkle Toes shoes are a hard plastic that light up but they do have a switch inside to turn them off from lighting up. My daughter doesn’t have Twinkle Toes shoes, yet, but this would be especially cute if she matched her doll. The shoes are of course removable as well if you just want a classic Cabbage Patch Kid! I love that Jakks Pacific has modernized the Cabbage Patch Kids without taking anything away from them that we expect. I am fine with adding the shoes and its awesome that they can be turned off or removed. These new dolls are available in a variety of ethnicities, face shapes, hair colors, eye colors and more – perfect for any child, especially if you had one growing up and know how special they can be. If you want to tell your child that the doll came from an actual cabbage patch and sprouted, like I was told, that’s fine too I won’t tell!
It was hard to capture the shoes lighting up but they do!

I wanted so bad for my kids to be able to have a Cabbage Patch doll but we couldn't afford it when they were little. Now I have an adorable little granddaughter and I would sure love for her to have a Cabbage patch doll. I'm sure her mommy would enjoy it also! We never get to old for our babies. Grandma loves them too!
