SOL REPUBLIC Tracks Air Wireless Headphones {Review}

I was never a headphone person until recently when I was on a plane and had to listen to these crazy women’s conversation the whole flight.  I looked around and was envious of the people who had headphones.  I am talking about headphones and not those little earbuds.  Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against earbuds, I just prefer headphones over something that goes in my ear.  Maybe I have small ears or something, but earbuds never feel comfortable for me.

SOL REPUBLIC is a company that is for music lovers from all walks of life.  The company itself is founded by consumer electronics veterans Kevin Lee, Scott Hix and Seth Combs, who share a vision for making great sound attainable for everyone. They feature both headphones and speakers, wired and wireless, in a variety of styles.  You can even customize them.

I got the chance to check out the SOL REPUBLIC Tracks Air.  What make these headphones stand out is that they are wireless headphones, yeah for no cords!

These come off to switch the headband if you want a different color.

How is the sound though?  Awesome!  I have worn these while working in my office and while on an airplane so far and I love them.  They are comfortable enough that they don’t irritate me and powerful enough that the sound is amazing.  They offer a smooth sound and they block out outside noise.  It is nice though to be able to adjust them easily and quickly whether I am wearing them, my husband or even my kids.  You just have to slide the ear piece up or down to re-size them.  No additional pieces needed and nothing to loose!

Using these via bluetooth is super easy.  I had no problem connecting them to my phone or computer.  I even used them as a bluetooth headset for phone calls as my mom called while I was listening to music on my cell phone so it switched over to allow me to answer the call!  She said the sound was crystal clear. Now I wouldn’t use these all the time for phone calls as it sounds a little strange on my end because they enclose the sound so well.  It was nice though that I didn’t have to do anything other than click a button on the headphones to answer it.  Then when my call was done it switched back to my music automatically.

What I really though is how easy it is to store everything.  It comes with a nice bag to store the headphones and it comes with a cord in case you need to have wired headphones.

I would recommend the SOL REPUBLIC Tracks Air for anyone looking for headphones because they not only offer wireless headphones for when you can use bluetooth but they also include a cord to use them as wired.  They are like two headphones in one!  The bag is a nice bonus to keep them protected and all together.  Its a lot nicer than a ziploc bag!
