Tips & Tricks for Dressing Babies & Toddlers on a Budget @Garanimals

As a mom of three, one thing I have learned the hard way is that kids are rough on clothes and they outgrow them so fast. Since they were babies I have always had clothes in their closets with tags on them still not because they were forgotten about but rather they outgrew the size before they had a chance to wear them. I learned a lot time ago not to spend an arm and a leg on clothes, but I also don’t want to have to replace cheap quality clothes.

Luckily there is Garanimals from Walmart. Garanimals is a clothing line designed for babies and kids that offers affordable fashion and comfort. They guarantee quality, value and ease of shopping since you can pick them up at your local Walmart or Walmart.com. The line has sizes from newborn to size 5T. That is five years of savings while still buying quality clothes for your kids!

I have bought Garanimals for my kids and I honestly have no complaints. They are simple clothes, nothing fancy, but they do the job and if they tear it or outgrow it I don’t feel like I wasted a lot of money. For play clothes and everyday clothes, they are a great buy.

Here are some of my tips and tricks for dressing babies and toddlers comfortably for play…on a budget:

  • Buy the next size up if you can. My kids never seemed to be in the exact size of their age, they were always just about a size up.
  • Shop end of season deals for the next year. Stock up on next season’s clothes so you not only save money but you are ready for when the weather warms up or cools up.
  • Shop the Garanimals brand at your local Walmart or Walmart.com to save money on quality clothes.
  • Feel the inside of the clothing and make sure it doesn’t feel itchy or scratchy inside, kids won’t be comfortable if it is.
  • Shop sales or use coupons. Never pay full price for kids clothing, there will always be a deal somewhere.
  • Think about how much use they will get out of the article of clothing to decide if its worth it. If you can pass it down to another child or special occasion that’s fine, but if its something they will wear everyday and may be rough on it, do you really want to spend a lot?
  • Don’t buy white, unless you need to. I have never ever had good luck with white on my kids, they always seem to stain it immediately.
