Getting Ready for Winter With Tastefully Simple {Review}

Winter for me is a busy time.  It is a busy time for my blog, theres the holidays and we have multiple birthdays in our family.  Any chance for help or a shortcut I’ll take, but not by sacrificing quality.

Luckily Tastefully Simple makes it easy for moms like me to create dishes with just a few simple ingredients.  Their products are mixes that add something to in order to create an amazing dish or treat. It’s a little extra help to make something homemade, without making a huge mess in your kitchen.  I don’t know about others but when I made anything homemade, my kitchen looks like something blew up.  While I don’t mind cooking, I hate the cleanup that goes along with it.  I also tend to have the problem of forgetting an ingrediant from the store and then not being able to make the recipe.

Like I said Tastefully Simple requires just a few simple ingrediants plus a Tastefully Simple product. I got the chance to check out a few of the New Fall/Winter products and I admit I’m hooked. 

I am a dip lover and the Caramelized Onion Dip has become my new favorite dip.  All I had to add was some swiss cheese and cream cheese and warm it up.  The dip recommends serving it with a Tastefully Simple beer bread but since I didn’t have any on hand, I served it along with some pita chips and it was a hit for our movie night.  You are able to get three dips out of it or make a big batch for a party!  All I had to add was some swiss cheese and cream cheese, which I usually have on hand anyways.

For a comfort food, I love the Gorgonzola Olive Cheese Ball Mix.  I made it the other weekend here when it was cold and rainy outside.  Since it was just me and my husband eating it, I didn’t bother forming it into the cheese ball since we were so anxious to get dipping!  I love gorgonzola cheese and olives so I may be bias over how amazing this tastes.  The picture doesn’t do it justice!

Speaking of comfort foods, Tastefully Simple also has some great soup mixes.  I got the Creamy Wild Rice Soup Mix and it just required hot water to cook.  I think it would be awesome to add some cooked chicken too for a real hearty meal.  It makes enough for two bowls of soup.  I didn’t get a picture of this as it smelled so good I couldn’t help but eat it!

The one simple product from Tastefully Simple that I really love though is their Wahoo! Chili Seasoning Blend.  It is a chili seasoning that gives chili that extra something it may be missing.  For me I am terrible at knowing which spices work well together and what my recipes are missing.  I usually use whatever chili seasoning we have and I admit it is usually one from the dollar store.  I never realized there was a difference in chili seasonings until I tried this one!

Tastefully Simple are not just for you to make at home but they also make awesome gifts.  Whether you need a housewarming gift, holiday gift, or even a hostess gift, Tastefully Simple has lots to choose from.

Whatever you need, Tastefully Simple has a lot to offer and their prices are quite reasonable.  Most of the products are for a couple uses so that makes the products even better that you get your use out of them. After everything I tried tasting good I have a feeling that you can’t go wrong with anything from Tastefully Simple!
