Looking for a new and fun puzzle game for your smartphone or tablet?  I honestly am addicting to brain-teasers and puzzles and am always looking for a new game to try out.  Light in the Dark by Dreamgate Studios honestly surprised me.  From first glance it looked like an easy game that I shouldn’t have a problem beating, but boy was I wrong.  Sure the game starts out easy and I was flying through the levels, then I got stuck.

What is the point of the game?  You need to solve the puzzles of getting light to the babies, but you have to be careful not to light up the enemies.  Seems easy but it really takes some problem solving and critical thinking skills.  Once wrong move and bad guy awakes which ends the level.  You have to move your guy around, various pieces and get everything in the right positions to beat the level.  So like I started playing the game and got stuck so I took a break of the game.  When I went back to it, my 6 year old had beaten it almost through Level 2!  I can’t even finish Level 1!  I love that my son is working his brain muscles and doesn’t even realize it!

I’d say the game is great for all ages and I warn you it can be addicting!  The game right now is set in a tomb in Egypt.  There are five tombs to beat and in each tomb is 20+ levels.  Get stuck in a level?  You can buy hints through in-app purchases, but you don’t have to if you really want the challenge!  While you are beating the levels too you also need to try to earn the most points (stars) by completing the level the least amount of time and moves.  So even if you beat the level you can go back and try to get all three stars if you didn’t the first time.  Light in the Dark has become a great game for un-winding to and exercising my family’s brains!
