The Lean, Versatile Shark Rocket Vacuum {Review}

I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

A powerful vacuum without the weight or loss of suction?  Could it be?  Yes the Shark Rocket is a compact vacuum that weighs just under 8 lbs. but has the powerful performance you’d expect from a full-size.  Its a vacuum for quick clean-ups or everyday jobs.

Some features of the Rocket:

  • Can be separated into a handheld vacuum
  • Can be stored either against a wall or mounted onto the wall

  • Ergonomically designed to make transitioning from floor to ceiling
  • Includes tools for cleaning, especially for cleaning up pet hair
  • Perfect for cleaning all types of floor surfaces
  • Easy to maneuver in, around, and under obstacles in the home
  • It does have a cord, so you do have to plug it in but it won’t loose suction and you won’t have to charge it
  • Uses advanced cyclonic technology that separates fine dirt from air so it doesn’t clog the filters or loose suction

The Shark Rocket is a vacuum that has really surprised me.  First off I love that it has a cord.  I mean a cord is a pain at times but cordless vacuums can sometimes loose suction and it is also another thing I have to worry about charging.  The Shark Rocket is so easy to use and it really is powerful.  I have had no problems with suction with this vacuum.  It is super easy to maneuver under beds and couches, which before I have had to use a wand to clean.

We use this primarily in my basement which has both carpet and tile.  It makes for an easy clean-up down there.  For my upstairs everyday cleaning I have a Shark Professional Upright vacuum.

I love that it comes with this bag to hold all the accessories in it.  You can even hook this onto the Wall Mount!

Wall Mount:

This is a pad that is included to dust floors while vacuuming.

Perfectly vacuums under my couches:

The only problem I have found is that it can be heavy in your hand, so if you don’t have a lot of hand/arm strength then this vacuum might not be for you.  I am also not used to not being able to stand this vacuum upright when I turn the vacuum off.  It also won’t stand on its own upright, which I found out the hard way.

Detach the long wand to easily clean your stairs:

Or attach the crevice tool for all the cobwebs you may have in your corners:

Love the reminder to clean the filter:

The orange buttons are where you can click it to detach it.

Click to empty over the trashcan.

Overall, the Shark Rocket has been a vacuum that has surprised and impressed me.  I love my Shark upright and the Rocket is a perfect second vacuum for me.  It has so many features that I want from a vacuum, such as cleaning under my couches, compact, easily stored, and bagless.  I do wish the dirt container was bigger as I find myself emptying it a lot and I am still not used to not being able to stand it upright.  The wall hanging part is awesome, I just need to decide where to hang it!

BUY IT:  You can compare these top Shark vacuums or check out the Shark Rocket direct from the Shark website for a suggested retail of $179.99 or find the Shark Rocket on Amazon.
