Quality toys can be hard to find these days, especially ones that really engage kids. With technology everywhere, sometimes I feel like my kids are constantly on something electric. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying electric toys or technology is bad, its just sometimes I wish for simplier times! Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a store dedicated to creating innovative educational materials that engage young imaginations and create a love of learning? Well that is exactly what Lakeshore Learning is!
Lakeshore Learning is a store that is both online and an actual storefront. If you don’t have a Lakeshore Learning in your area luckily the website is fabulous to shop on. From infants to tweens, Lakeshore Learning has a product no matter the tastes. Honestly I can browse the website for hours as there is so much offered and its all organized by category and grade/age.
Recently I got the chance to check out the Arts & Crafts Supply Center. It is seriously amazing! I cannot believe how much is jam packaed in it! For me it is perfect because I am just starting out building up a craft supply center for my kids and this kit has a little of everything! Everything then comes packed into a plastic storage unit that is re-useable. The drawers are sturdy little plastic ones and it can easily be re-filled. There are 20 drawers total and each one contains something different. To complete the Supply Center this set also comes with a book of 14 activities. So if you need a little inspiration for projects, this book contains it! I admit I am not a craft person on my own but I can follow directions!
Between illnesses and activities, we haven’t had time to take advantage of this kit yet but my kids were excited to see it. I could see the balls rolling in their heads over what they would create, even my 7 year old son was excited and he is far from the creative type. While the set may seem expensive at first glance, it’s $50, it really does contain a lot and its something that can be used over and over. When something runs out, I love that I can replace it with anything I wanted.
