John Deere Gear Force Harvest Action Combine {Review}

Disclosure:  I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

My son has been fascinated with John Deere toys ever since he was a toddler.  He loved everything about farming, equipment and John Deere. My son has collected John Deere stuff and even though he is 7 years old, he still loves playing on the floor with his farm toys.  He also has gotten my 6 year old and 3 year old to enjoy John Deere as well.

Well John Deere has come out with a fun new toy for kids ages 3 and up that is sure to entice any little John Deere fan!

The John Deere Gear Force Harvest Action Combine is a big plastic toy that actually picks up corn cubes and pops them out of the hopper!  It features lights, sides and even opening side panels plus some additional pieces to play with.  You get two figures, a bull, some little tools and a straw bale.  It is designed for kids as young as 3 years old with child-friendly pieces and lots of ways to engage with it.  What I love is that this is a combine that actually works, even though it is designed for young kids.  My boys have a bunch of John Deere tractors but never a working combine.

First off this toy is big, so keep that in mind if you don’t have room for big toys.  My boys loved all the sounds its makes and that the lights actually work.  Their favorite feature of course is how the straw bales pop out.  It is not a motorized toy that moves on its own, you do have to push it to make it go.  The pieces are very sturdy and durable, I see this toy lasting – even with how rough my boys are on toys.  I did think it would “suck” up the straw bales better but they did have to go over them a few times to get them to get sucked up to then pop them.  They do then pop pretty high when you click the button, its not automatic. Overall though my three kids enjoy this toy and like that its a combine with spinning “blades.”

BUY IT:  You can find the John Deere Gear Force Harvest Action Combine on Amazon or at your local Toys R Us, Walmart and John Deere dealers.

  • I have several grandsons that would totally be nuts for this,they love tractors and big equipment

  • John Deere makes some high quality trucks, and my nephew loves his trucks and cars, great classic gift to give to any child.

  • We're John Deere fans here too and my grandson would love playing with something like this. We live in a farming community and we see a lot of real combines and tractors go by the house this time of the year.
