Dyson Heater Hot + Cool Fan {Review}

We have a big house with high ceilings, a room over the garage and vents that are covered with furniture.  In my office, which is where I spend a lot of time, I have a big ole’ portable air conditioner in one corner and a portable heater in the other.  I feel like they didn’t insulate this room well as its offset above the garage and the heat and air vents are partially covered with furniture for lack of being able to put the furniture anywhere else.

Well now thanks to Dyson I have a solution to my hot and cold office, the Dyson AM 05 hot + Cool fan.  I cannot say enough about how much I love that I can have just one small sleek product to solve my crazy weather problems in my office.  With just a flip of a switch I can stay cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter.

Features:

• Energy efficient – 30% less energy is used to heat the whole room than other fan heaters and it can lower energy bills by 20% when used with air conditioning.

• Precise temperature control – You can set the target temperature to exactly what you’d like in heat mode (an intelligent thermostat will even keep it there) and the airflow, oscillation and temperature can all be adjusted with the remote.

• Remote storage – The remote can be stored on top of the machine via magnets so you don’t loose it if you don’t need it.  I love that there is a spot for the remote since I don’t really need it but don’t want to loose it either.

• Safe – this is a huge plus for me since fast-spinning blades freak me out with my kids around.  This fan does not contain any blades or visible heating elements and it even automatically turns off if its tipped over.

• No burning smell

• Easy to clean – since there are no blades or grille plate it is easy to wipe down any dust off it.

• 2 year warranty on parts and labor.

The problem I have had with other heaters I have tried is they shoot in one direction only so I have to position them just right in order to heat the area I’m in. I absolutely love how this heater can be oscillating so it can blow the whole right either hot or cold.  This way if I move about in the room it still works and it is also nice so I don’t have it consistently blowing on me if I don’t want.  The design looks great in my office and its lightweight enough I can easily move it as needed.  It is super easy control as you just push a few buttons for the temperature, power level and if you want it to move or not.  Yes you can stick your hand through it too, no blades!  I would recommend this for anyone looking for an amazing fan + heater all in one, especially for parents who are worried about their kids little hands!
