K’NEX has so many great partnerships with characters from Mario Kart to Pac-Man to Family. Well another partnership they have is with Plants Vs. Zombies, which is of course my 6 year olds favorite game right now. K’NEX offers various Plants Vs. Zombie sets and I got the chance to check out the Pirate Seas Plank Walk Building Set.
This set comes with just over 300 pieces and you build a pirate plank walk that you shoot cannons at! The best part is the plank is motorized, you just need to add a few batteries. It is actually supposed to be a replica of the Pirate Seas level in Plants vs. Zombies, which I assume is because my son was excited about it and knew exactly what it was. You get a total of three plant guys (one of which is the limited edition zombie pirate) and then the pieces to build the platform and cannons.
My son likes to set this up and play the Plants Vs. Zombies game on his tablet. I will say it is not a super durable set but he has made do with it. The figures are great and do move, they do tip a little but like I said he has made do with them. The set is neat though that it offers being motorized, which you can turn off if you don’t want it on. My son is just happy to have the figures and the cannons!
