Disclosure: I am currently a member of the Netflix Stream Team and this post is part of my involvement in the Group in exchange for receiving a product package.
Books and movies are something I have always loved because I can escape into them. I can pretend I am one of the characters or in the land where they are. Books especially are something I can really get sucked into. Sometimes though it is nice to sit down and watch a movie, especially as a family. It’s not like we can all read a book together, my kids are still young, but we can watch movies together.
Here are some movies that are perfect to show kids they can reinvent themselves. Wether they are changing what their passion is or they just want to pretend they are someone else, there are so many great movies for little kids to draw from:
1. Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
2. Mulan
3. Turbo
4. The Emperor’s New Groove
5. Angelina Ballerina: Pop Star Girls
6. Stellaluna
Here are some for the bigger kids in the family:
1. Mr. Peabody & Sherman
2. Princess Diaries 2
3. The Perfect Game
4. ANTZ
5. Avengers Assemble
6. School of Rock
As a busy mom too sometimes it is just nice to unwind to a movie while I am working on my laptop. I will admit to pretending I was Baby (Dirty Dancing) and Katniss (Hunger Games) just a few times.
1. Silver Linings Playbook
2. Chef
3. Safe Haven
4. Catching Fire
5. Freaks and Geeks
6. Dirty Dancing

I have a Roku. I promptly signed up for netflix and July. Love the fact that I don't have a cable bill.
I love my Netflix - wouldn't be without it!
Dirty Dancing in streaming - I'll have to watch that.
Great suggestions!
