Disclosure: I received the products below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
When I was in high school I had acne but was lucky that it was just barely there. I had acne flare-ups sure but they came and went. Well now that I am a mom of three I have acne worse than ever. I was told it might be my hormones but what I eat and my lack of a beauty routine hasn’t helped either.
Well Paula’s Choice has helped kick my butt into gear and has really helped out my skin. For two weeks now I have been using Paula’s Choice products morning and night and while I admit the skincare line intimidated me at first, I am glad I tried it.
Paula’s Choice is a line of skincare products made right here in the USA with ingredients that are domestically-sourced. They do not test their products on animals nor do they use ingredient suppliers that do. There products do not contain any added fragrance, dyes, or other ingredients that irritate the skin.
Now when I say the products are intimidating I say that because there are so many products available and I was clueless where to start. Well Paula’s Choice first off has amazing customer service that will give a consultation on your skin over the phone by asking a few quick questions about your skin and skincare needs. The phone call was maybe 10 minutes and the representative offered suggestions for products and got my order all set for me. I think it is awesome that they offer actual helpful customer service agents.
In just a few days my Paula’s Choice products arrived and I was ready to tackle my skincare problems. My main issue is acne and as an aging woman I worry about keeping my skin youthful. I received products from two of Paula’s Choice lines: CLEAR and RESIST.
Next up was my challenge of knowing which products to use in which order and when. Now first I wrote down a list that I was going to keep on my vanity, but really that was not an ideal solution. Well Paula’s Choice includes actual little stickers that you stick on the bottles for Day and Night and in Step order. For example there is Step 2 Day and Step 5 Night. I absolutely love this! It makes it so easy to know which products to use and I don’t have to worry about loosing the sheet of paper with instructions.
Yes! I have been using Paula’s Choice for about two weeks now and my skin feels and looks so much better! I do still have acne but it is actually fading away and not breaking out. Before I would have an acne flare up every few days and my skin was constantly riddled with acne, but now it is lessening. My skin does not feel oily or dry, but rather perfectly moisturized and healthy. Actually healthy! Now I will say I have been following the program exactly by using the products Day and Night as I am supposed to. I have never followed a skincare routine religiously as I’ve slacked in the past but I decided to really stick to this one.
Here is a picture of my skin before:
I would recommend checking out Paula’s Choice products for all your skincare needs. Whether it be aging skin, acne, rosacea, eczema, enlarged pores or basically anything going on with your skin. The products are pretty reasonably priced as well especially with the size of the products being bigger bottles, rather than small sized bottles. I have seen bottles of skincare products that are so small but cost $60+, these are decent sized bottles that will last. I am thinking I can get at least two months out of the bottles seeing how I’ve use them for two weeks now and haven’t even made a dent. The whole Clear kit of three bottles is around just $50.
Oh and Paula’s Choice even features makeup which I got to try out. The makeup is high quality and perfect to complete my skincare problems.
The products can add up but no one ever said beauty came cheap! For example all the products I received cost around $200 which is a lot but they really are working magic into my skin. You don’t have to buy all the products at once if your not ready for a big commitment but rather you can just buy a few bottles to see how they work. I am going to continue using Paula’s Choice to see if I can keep my skin from more breakouts and if I can eventually get it cleared up. It has not gotten worse which if I wasn’t using Paula’s Choice it most certainly would have.
Here is an after picture, not sure why it’s grainy, but as you can see my skin looks better and I am more confident!
