I have always been someone who loves to search out deals and save money wherever I can. Before kids, I used to clip coupons and shop at different stores to save money wherever I could. Then I had kids and while I really needed to save money, I just didn’t have it in me. Now that my kids are a little more independent, I am finally able to clip coupons and check out different sales flyers. The problem though I have now is the craziness of paper everywhere. I have sales flyers it seems like all over my kitchen! I have been trying to justify the cost of the newspaper subscription with the coupons I am clipping but I’m not sure its worth it. Now if I wanted to get rid of my newspaper subscription I could of course just go to each store’s website and check out their sales flyers but who has time for that! Luckily I found an app that puts all the sales circulars in one spot for easily viewing.
Flipp is a an that delivers weekly ads to your smartphone or tablet and its FREE! Yep no cost for a subscription and I can look at the sales flyers wherever I am, instead of just at my kitchen table! There are over 400 retailers on Flipp so chances are there is a flyer for whatever your looking for.
Flipp makes it easy to browse with all the categories listed on the side.
Have favorite flyers you like to check out? For me, I like Walgreens, Menards and Walmart and with Flipp I can mark them as a favorite so I can quickly view them anytime.
Miss the ability to circle the items you want from the sales flyer? You can “Clip” them to easily check them out later. This is nice if you want a picture of something specific you are looking for at a store since sometimes different brands/items can look alike.
Then just tap on the item and you will get this screen:
Want to read more about a product? Rather than having to open up your web browser and search, with some products you can even click “See It” and it will take you to the company’s website to view the product online. Perfect if you want to just buy the item online!
You can even click “Share” if you find a great deal or product you want to share with friends and family!
So for me I was able to quickly “circle” (Clip) items I wanted to make sure I bought and then see on one screen the stores I want to visit and what I wanted from them. Seriously so much easier than remembering to carry around flyers and what I wanted from them! I hate when I am out and decide to stop at a store last minute but can’t remember what I wanted from it because my circled flyer is at home.
I honestly cannot rave enough about how awesome this app is and how much time (and money) it has saved me! I actually find myself using Flipp more often than some of my other apps I have downloaded. I have found items on sale that I didn’t even know were on sale and would have missed had it not been for Flipp. I always say that every penny counts and if I can save some money without the expense of a newspaper subscription or wasting gas making extra shopping trips to buy stuff I forgot (or didn’t know was on sale.)
