My 8 year old loves this game! He has always been fascinated with farming equipment and this game has brought them to life for him. Now since he is young he doesn’t play the game to its fullest with the the missions or real farm building. My son loves to maneuver the trucks and other equipment around and is slowly figuring out more and more of the game. There is some reading required about how to work machines and so forth that he needs help with but he loves it. The animation is amazing and very realistic. The game actually uses a new visual technology called PBR, or physically-based rendering. The technology helps to produce a photorealistic rendering by simulating how the light behaves on materials like metal, plastic, glass and more.
A new activity that is in this game is Woodcutting. This is my son’s favorite activity. Every time I catch him playing the game he is woodcutting. There are numerous vehicles and machines to woodcut including tree cutters, chainsaws, chippers, trailers and tools for harvesting. Players can sell the wood them cut or process them at the sawmill. Yes you do earn money in the game and that is how you buy more machines and such. There are various jobs on the farm that need to be done and players need to figure out which machines will get the job done and how to use them efficiently.
Here is a game trailer I found:
This game really has so much packed into it to play and explore. My son loves maneuvering the different machines and seeing how they work. It is teaching him problem solving, decision making and budgeting money. He has learned that he doesn’t have an endless supply of money so he has learned to earn money and spend it wisely.
So with Farming Simulator 2015 you can now play online with friends in multiplayer mode. We haven’t tried this yet but its great that its included for those that do like the online option.
Overall though, Farming Simulator 2015 has become a family favorite between my sons and husband. My boys even like just watching my husband play with the different machines while they cheer him on.

Omg my 7 year old would love this
I grew up in a farming community, although I didn't live on one myself. Many of my family did though, so we did spend some time on them--I frequently was 'loaned out' to help with canning, berry picking, etc!
I grew up in a farming area. We didn't have one, but we did raise chickens.
wow
I am afraid of cows, I grew up on a farm and my uncles cows would chase me.
My grandson loves anything to do with farming. I'm sure he would enjoy this game.
I feel like I have a mini farm, growing my own veggies and frust and have chickens to lay eggs.
We have a little garden in our backyard.
just having a garden is alot of work , i cant imagine running a whole farm. livestock would be a real challenge too, im not much of an animal person. the game looks great though.
Farming is a lot of work!
