Feeding a family can be costly and it can be hard to find a meal that everyone likes. For my family we have the problem of activities almost every night and they usually fall right in the middle of dinnertime. I have been working on meal ideas such as cooking ahead and utilizing my crockpot but for those nights where I just don’t have time I turn to picking up our meal. Well KFC is honoring its founder’s invention of the “home meal replacement” with the introduction of the $20 Family Fill Up™.

What is the $20 Family Fill Up™?

The Colonel once said “It makes me feel good that my food has helped make life a little easier for people.” KFC is thrilled it can satisfy an entire family for such a great price. Colonel Harland Sanders was all about living the American dream and wanted others to be able to enjoy it.

So KFC is honoring its would-be 125-year old founder’s invention of the “home meal replacement” with a family size version of their immensely popular $5 Fill Up.

What makes KFC chicken so good?

KFC chicken is hand breaded, freshly prepared and Finger Lickin’ Good®! Each batch of chicken is actually inspected individually to make sure its the best chicken. Then the chicken is carefully rolled 7 times, yes 7 times, in their secret blend of 11 herbs and spices. I actually visited the KFC headquarters a few years ago and they really take their secret recipe safe. I think I remember them saying only two people know the whole recipe, otherwise its locked up in a safe! After the chicken is spiced up, its pressure cooked at a low temperature to preserve all the great flavors. I love that so much care and time is spent on the chicken.

Honestly my family loves FKC and the $20 Family Fill Up™ was a perfect way to satisfy everyone in my family but I did add some Popcorn Nuggets and Green Beans for my kids. We did have leftovers though and for about $30 it was a great value!
