Lincoln Logs are another toy from my childhood that I treasured just like Tinkertoys from K’NEX. I built for hours and hours with those little wooden pieces and green roofs. Even though toys today are a lot more than just some wooden logs and plastic roofs there is something about the timelessness of Lincoln Logs. I love when my kids drag out there Lincoln Logs and start building, it is probably what my brothers and I looked like to my mom. The Lincoln Logs sets available are pretty much the same but vary in sizes and pieces available. The newest Lincoln Logs set is the Lincoln Logs Collector’s Edition Village, it jam packed with 327 pieces of building fun.
With over 300 parts to this set, the Lincoln Logs Collector’s Edition is packed nicely in a collectible tin perfect for storage. I love that its not just a cardboard box but rather a good sized tin that we can actually store the pieces back in. I like included containers as such my kids will continue to play with toy because they know what is actually inside the container.
Lincoln Logs are 100% made in the USA which is another bonus. It is hard to find toys that are made here, but Lincoln Logs continue to be a classic toy. I love that my kids play with them just like I used to and that no batteries are required. With all the tech of today, finding a toy that can entertain kids that has no bells and whistles is definitely a good toy. It always amazes me at how much my kids are entertained with them and honestly I love getting right down on the floor and building with them. This newest set is a great starter set for any child since it contains so many pieces or even just as an add-on set since you can never have enough Lincoln Logs! My kids already combined this set with other other sets for lots of building fun.
