Cooking With Honey Bunches of Oats

I received samples in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

I have always been a cereal eater, ever since I can remember it was always my breakfast choice. I have though as I have gotten older evolved my cereal tastes and even started cooking with cereal! Instead of looking for cereals with the best toy inside, I look for cereal with healthy goodness inside.

Honey Bunches of Oats is a cereal that features four nutritious grains (rice, wheat, oats and corn) in 10g of whole grains per serving that satisfy my sweet by healthy morning cravings. It is also a heart healthy cereal with 0g trans fat, 0g saturated fat and 0mg cholesterol per serving.

Did you know that there are tons of recipes that actually use Honey Bunches of Oats as a main ingredient? It doesn’t just have to be your morning cereal anymore but now Honey Bunches of Oats can be part of your snacks, deserts and even dinners!

For dinner there are Crab Cakes with Sriracha-Lime Mayonnaise:

I decided to make the Caramel Balls for Christmas at our house as a sweet and crunchy snack outside of traditional Christmas cookies. I could not find caramel candies everywhere so I turned to caramel syrup. I thought of course it would be the same since I have used it when baking but caramel syrup does not harden unfortunately. I did refrigerate mine and they got a little harder but not as hard as I’d like. Next time I will look harder for actual caramel candies!
