Getting Our Nerf On With the Nerf Modulus & ProBounce

I received the products below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

There are few brands that my kids have played with since they were born and continue to play and Hasbro is one of them. They have moved among the various product lines in Hasbro but most recently they are hooked on Nerf products. I honestly cannot tell you how many Nerf guns we own but somehow my boys tend to use them all. They switch off, have their friends over and of course they always want the “newest Nerf gun” available.

Well Nerf seems to have outdone themselves with their Nerf Modulus ECS-10 blaster. It is a gun that is basically a whole arsenal in one. There are more than 30 different combinations you can build with it. It includes a targeting scope, drop grip banana clip holder and dual-rail barrel. The blaster can shoot up to 90 feet away with the included darts. I will say you probably want to pick up additional darts as you only get 10, which my boys of course shot all over the yard already.

What makes this blaster different is than other Nerf guns we own is it is customizable. You can clip and un-clip parts all over it to make 30 different guns! Kids can really strategize and battle in any situation, with the pieces easily configured on-the-go! It is heavier than other Nerf guns we own but my 7 year old has gotten used to it. The blaster basically is a bigger than usual Nerf gun so it works like you’d expect. Add batteries, load darts, shoot. You do hear the gun running so you can’t be super stealthy but my son uses this for fun so he doesn’t care. This is the gun he has been talking about for months now!

He’s excited he can move pieces around!

I also got to check out the Nerf Sports ProBounce Basketball. Who knew Nerf made a basketball? It is seriously a super cool ball. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read that its foam but it is tough durable foam. You can bounce it like a regular basketball but it is easier to grip than other balls thanks to the Nerf material. My 8 year old is starting basketball in January and has been practicing with this ball as much as the weather allows outside.

  • I didn't know they made Nerf Basketballs that could be used outside. I'll have to look for one for my son because he's afraid of being hit by the ball, so I think this Nerf ball would help. Thanks for the review.
