Two weeks ago my boys came down with a virus one after another. It started with a fever which of course meant they had to be fever-free for 24 hours before they could go back to school. With one of my boys it happened over the weekend so it wasn’t a big deal but with my other son, it happened at school. I got the dreaded call from the school nurse that I had to pick him up. I am so grateful that I work from home and I was able to pick him up and be home with him.
I will say though having my boys home for those four days total was rough for my family. I had to make arrangements for taking the non-sick kids to their activities, put off work that I really shouldn’t have and housework came to a halt as I spent a lot of time cuddling with my sick babies. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t change my life for anything but just a few sick days can really through a family for a loop!
I know I am not the only mom who has had to deal with the good, the bad and the not-pretty. Motherhood is basically living an adventure everyday.
The pediatric brands of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare knows that moms may feel and experience when their child is under the weather. They launched the Sick just got realTM campaign and created a video depicting a small glimpse of how moms put their children’s needs first.

getting plenty of rest and fluids
We provide them with activities and things to do.
How i survive when my child is sick, is lots of rest, liquids, medicine, and laying down watching movies together
I try to rest when they do, because if I don't I will be exhausted myself and too tired to care for them. Hubby and I also took turns as well with the kids.
I barely survive when my nephew is sick and staying over here. I would rather be sick, because at least I can get some sleep.
My children are all grown, but when they were young, I would try to keep fluids down them and keep them from getting active.
We survive with lots of popsicles and Netflix!
They are pretty subdued and if not sleeping then watching their fav TV shows
I have them stay in bed and get lots of rest
make sure they get lots of rest and drink water.
