Two weeks ago my boys came down with a virus one after another. It started with a fever which of course meant they had to be fever-free for 24 hours before they could go back to school. With one of my boys it happened over the weekend so it wasn’t a big deal but with my other son, it happened at school. I got the dreaded call from the school nurse that I had to pick him up. I am so grateful that I work from home and I was able to pick him up and be home with him.
I will say though having my boys home for those four days total was rough for my family. I had to make arrangements for taking the non-sick kids to their activities, put off work that I really shouldn’t have and housework came to a halt as I spent a lot of time cuddling with my sick babies. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t change my life for anything but just a few sick days can really through a family for a loop!
I know I am not the only mom who has had to deal with the good, the bad and the not-pretty. Motherhood is basically living an adventure everyday.
The pediatric brands of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare knows that moms may feel and experience when their child is under the weather. They launched the Sick just got realTM campaign and created a video depicting a small glimpse of how moms put their children’s needs first.
