My favorite season of the whole year is Christmas and I like to go all out. We usually have a big Christmas tree, tons of decorations inside and out and lots and lots of Christmas cookies. Something about the holiday season just makes me smile and reminds me how important my family is.

A few years ago we purchased a new Christmas tree for a few hundred dollars and it was honestly just so/so. Our last tree was very old and falling apart so we were desperate for a new, big tree. The tree was new for us too because it is pre-lit and supposedly easy to put together, but that is not so much the case. I wish we would have researched about trees more especially with it being a big purchase that should last us many years.

Well just in time for this holiday season I am so excited to share about our new ULTIMA tree we received. “The easiest tree you’ll ever set up & take down” is the motto and honestly once you read the directions over it really is!

We had a few hiccups setting up the tree because I didn’t read that you have to twist each section in place which is easiest to do if you have the tree plugged in so you can see it light up. Once you read the directions though it does say to twist clockwise!

Also, I recommend measuring your space as well – apparently my basement where I was originally going to put this is only just over 7 feet tall.

What makes the ULTIMA tree the “The easiest tree you’ll ever set up & take down”?:

The weight of the tree is spread out over 10 lightweight sections weighing less than 9 lbs. each. The sections are less bulky and therefore easier to assemble on top of each other. This means too you are not trying to balance a top-heaving section of a tree on the top, each section is evenly distributed.

The cord by the way is a very good length which means you don’t have to struggle to plug it in to an outlet. You would need an additional cord if you decided to add a tree topper.

If a bulb burns out you only need to replace that bulb while others stay lit. You also get a bag of additional light bulbs as replacements.

I set up our ULTIMA tree with my 9 year old and it was honestly easy for us. Our old tree came in three sections and was awkward and heavy for me to life the pieces in place – this is not the case with the ULTIMA tree. I love how you un-wrap each individual section and place it on. As far as storage goes, I did try to re-pack a section by folding the branches down (un-fluffing) and wrapping in its sleeve and it did compress it nicely.  Our old tree was so bulky that we couldn’t get it back in the box we had to buy a bag. I feel like every year too it comes out looking worse than the previous year from smooshing all the sections together in the bag. The individual bags I think are the key to keeping a tree looking good year after year.

If you are looking for a long-lasting, easy set-up (and take down) tree, I highly recommend the ULTIMA tree. I am impressed with it and think it is going to last us. You may be skeptical over the cost of $499 but if you think about how this tree will last for many years to come for your family I think you’ll re-coop your costs!
