I partnered with this brand in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
With the increase of the use of headphones, hearing loss in teens is up 30%. As much as one in five teens suffers from some type of heading loss today. As parents we need to protect the hearing health of the next generation but we also don’t want to sacrifice sound quality for them either. It is recommended that users only listen to audio at 60% of the total volume for a maximum of 60 minutes, which can be unrealistic especially when traveling. For example, 60 minutes wouldn’t even cover a typical plane ride or movie.
After a father found out his youngest daughter developed Noise-induced hearing loss due to listening to her headphones everyday on her way to school, he decided to do something about it. No matter your budget or preference, Puro Sound Labs has a great selection of products to choose from.
There is the BT2200 Studio Grade Children’s Bluetooth Headphones. These headphones are the perfect solution for kids that love their headphones but want the freedom of a cord. The BT2200 headphones have the most advanced noise limiting solution on the market while still being the best sounding kids headphones. By blocking out 82% of background noise thanks to their patent-pending Puro Balanced Response Curve design, kids won’t have to keep turning them up either. The volume limit is 85 dB which is the maximum safe listening level as recommended by many organizations (Hearing Health Foundation, OSHA, World Health Organization, American Speech Pathology Association, etc.).
Some more features of the Puro Bluetooth Headphones:
My favorite feature though is that they can be used as bluetooth or wired. Yes for example if your headphones are dead (because yes they will need to be charged) then you can use the included 3.5 mm audio cable. My 10 year old son asked for bluetooth headphones for his birthday and I love that I can feel better knowing these are safe for him. He wears headphones everyday and as a kid is not thinking of hearing loss.
Puro has a line of headphones that are more budget friendly but without the sacrifice of quality. Whether your child prefers over-the-ear or in-ear headphones there is a product available.
The OEH200 Studio-Grade On-Ear Headphones were designed to curb noise-induced hearing loss via their Puro Balanced Response sound curve and Heathy Ears hearing protection. The headphones offer 80% ambient noise isolation which allows for reasonable listening levels in noisy environments.
Some more features:
Finally if your child prefers smaller, in-ear headphones there is the IEM200 Studio Grade In-Ear Headphones. These headphones feature the Healthy Ears hearing protection you expect from Puro as well as the Puro Balanced Response sound curve design.
Overall, my family loves Puro Sound Labs products including my kids ages 5 to 10 years old. I admit too I have borrowed my son’s bluetooth headphones when I couldn’t find mine. We have tried volume limiting headphones before but they looked babyish and the sound was terrible. The sound was very low and in a noisy environment they were worthless. We have not had any problems with our Puro headphones and they have been a hit since the day we got them.
If you are looking for safe but modern-looking headphones, Puro Sound Labs is definitely a company to check out!

My kids use headphones with their tablets, handheld game system, in the car, and on the computer. I love that I am able to enjoy peace and quiet or whatever I am listening to when they are on their electronics! My two oldest children received new headphones for Christmas, but my sons pair recently got broken during a series of unfortunate events, so this would save me the trouble of buying a new pair! I am so happy I found your blog! Thanks for the chance to win this and all your other giveaways as well!
