This is an awesome hardcover book for any 3rd grader and up. It is a book that may look big and intimidating but its packed with illustrations and fun fonts. My boys (8 and 10) are not big readers and when they do read it is usually a graphic novel, but this book appealed to them right away. My 10 year old was laughing after a page in the book! I think the fun fonts and pictures really help kids to continue reading, especially ones who need the break up of page after page of words. The story is fun and while I have only skimmed the book so far (my two boys are fighting over it now) I think it is a great story that kids can escape into!
