With households having so many phones and gadgets it is no wonder items are so easily lost. I would say we lose a phone or tablet at least once a day in our house. Then we spend time looking for them of course which could be used wisely otherwise.

While there are many products out there that help you find gadgets, Pixie is one unlike any other. It is a tracker that is the only 2-in-1 Finder that uses both AUDIO + VISUAL location methods to find gadgets.

How does Pixie work?

First you need to start with an iPhone 5s or iPad 4. So yes you do need one of those Apple products as the main device, but the other items can be anything.

Next, you put the main Pixie on your Apple device and create an account. It is super easy and takes a minute to do!

Then you put Pixie tags on your gadgets. You can stick them on phones or tablets, attach them to keys or really stick them on whatever need be! Heck, you can stick it to a tv if you are worried about it being misplaced. I stuck our Pixie tags on keys, tablet, and phone so far.

Pixie tags have a battery lifetime of 12+ months, no charging required and they are even waterproof up to 3 ft!

You do need to sync each Pixie tag to the main one but that too takes a minute and the Pixie app walks you through everything.

Once you have Pixie set up you are ready to loose your items – although hopefully, that doesn’t happen.

What sets Pixie apart from other trackers?

Like I said, Pixie uses Audio and Visual tactics to locate devices. What that means is if your item is up to 100 feet outdoors or up to 50 feet away indoors, Pixie will find it! Yes even through walls with an accuracy within inches.

What is super nice though is that at a glance on the Pixie app, you can see where all your items are located. This is super nice when you just want peace of mind that something like your wallet or keys are in your house and not left somewhere.

When you are looking for an item, you scan your surroundings just like you are taking a panaramic picture, and Pixie Dust appears where your item is. It basically has x-ray vision and can see whererver your items are hiding!

Once you click START, it gets crisp and clear just like a camera!

The Distance and Direction Indicator gives exact real-time distance and direction. It will even re-direct you to the right location! There is no beeping either which can be a nuisance if your item is somewhere too loud or somewhere quiet like a library. Beeping can also direct others to your items which you don’t want.

What is amazing though is that even if your device is out of battery, Pixie can still find your device! Use another Apple device and log into the Pixie app to find your device!

Oh and there is a slew of accessories, many of which you get with your Pixie. You get a curved surface adapter which is perfect for items like a remote or eyeglass case, two key ring pieces and clean wipes.

You can though buy other accessories including a specially designed iPhone case and additional Pixie tags.

Overall, Pixie is seriously amazing. My boys have been accidentally losing their items just to track them around the house! It is going to awesome when we do actually loose an item, which I hope we don’t!
