My 10 Must-Go Reasons for Texas de Brazil

I participated in the Texas de Brazil Campaign on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers. My guests and I received complimentary meals to facilitate this post, but the opinions, creative content, and photographs are my own.

Where can you find all sorts of meats delivered to your table, chef-created salads, roasted vegetables, imported cheeses and charcuterie, desserts, drinks and more all under one roof? Texas de Brazil is a restaurant that is definitely an experience you don’t want to miss and one you’ll want to repeat over and over. Honestly, I went to the Texas de Brazil in Chicago a few weeks ago and I am already planning our next visit. Think of it like a fancy buffet where everything is amazing. Check out Texas de Brazil menu cost if you’re planning to visit one soon.

Here are my 10 must-go reasons for Texas de Brazil:

1. Whether you are a carnivore or vegetarian, or little of both, there are tons of choices! There are 10+ meats to try, a salad bar with both hot and cold items and desserts to choose from. I honestly love my meats and my greens so I was happy to have a good selection to choose from both.

Your price includes both or you could pay a lower price if you just wanted the salad bar. My mother-in-law is a vegetarian and I love that we can bring her next time and not have her feeling left out of our meal.

2. Back to the meats, there are so many choices and many that are not your everyday kind. Rather than just plain chicken, pork, steak or sausage, the meats are all taken to the next level. There are meats wrapped in bacon, herb-marinated, parmesan crusted, and barbecued plus there are tons I had never tried before. Meats like Picanha, Brazilian Sausage, Alcatra, Leg of Lamb and Braised Beef Ribs that are ones I probably will never cook at home so I was excited to try.

3. The drinks are amazing! We all got different flavors of the Brazilian Caiprinha which is a signature drink of Texas de Brazil and it was the perfect complement to our meal. I love trying specialty drinks at restaurants and these did not disappoint.

4. You get so much for your money! Okay so yes this is a pricier dinner than you might be used to but if you think about all the food and choices available, it really is a great value. Even someone like me who is not a huge meat lover appreciated the huge selection. I also loved that I was able to eat things I wouldn’t have otherwise. I also recommend signing up for their eClub to hear about promotions and specials. Oh and there are kids prices depending on their ages.

5. Soup! Okay so I am a huge soup lover and they have Lobster Bisque, my absolute favorite! I ended up having two bowls because I couldn’t resist!

6. It is a fun restaurant to be in thanks to the gauchos that walk around serving the meats. The guachos are based off of cowboys from southern Brazil that prepare legendary traditional feasts known as churrasco. The meats are slow-roasted over open flames and carved at tables to show a skill and festive offering.

7. The ambiance is perfect for whatever the occasion or reason. I’ve been there with just my husband before and recently I brought my dad and oldest son for their first times. Whether its a date, family celebration or just because, Texas de Brazil has you covered.

8. Great service! We recently visited the Texas de Brazil in downtown Chicago and had a great experience. Everyone from the hostess to server to gauchos were all friendly and on top of everything. We also valet parked right in front of the restaurant for only $14 which is a great price for parking downtown!

9.  Want to take a break or just be left alone to enjoy the meat on your plate? Texas de Brazil has these little circle cards that flip over to let the gauchos know if you want them to come to your table or not. If you have them on green then the gauchos will stop by and red means they will pass your table by.

10. The desserts are amazing! While it was hard to choose a dessert and then eat it after our indulgent meal, I couldn’t pass up. I almost never order dessert at restaurants but I figured if the meal there was that amazing, how could I pass up trying their desserts. There was four of us at our table and we had three different kinds of desserts – Chocolate Mousse Cake, Brazilian Cheesecake and Key Lime Pie – all basically eaten down to crumbs.

Honestly, I really did enjoy our Texas de Brazil dinner and loved that I was able to bring my dad and oldest son. We don’t do a lot of things with just my dad or just one child and it was nice to have a great meal together and talk!
