Easter is the time for my family where we celebrate new life and transformation. After a rough winter, I am always excited for watching everything start growing and changing in the spring.
We hunt for eggs. We have been to places for egg hunts but my kids love the simple one we do at home, even better when we can hide the eggs outside because the weather is nice. The fun part though is when my husband and I sit and match the eggs and fill with jelly beans….said no mom ever…
We decorate eggs. While I dread egg decorating, my kids love it. Luckily this year I got The Eggmazing Egg Decorator which means no worrying about cups of dye spilling over. Now if only I didn’t have to boil the eggs too…
We eat Peeps. Yes we love our Peeps and this is the only time of the year we end up getting them.
We have a big family dinner! We host everyone at our house and look forward to easter ham!
Speaking of food, we also make a lamb cake. Yes it looks terrible but I promise it tastes delicious! My kids like to decorate it though probably more than they eat it!
Oh and is it even Easter without the creepy bunny picture? I couldn’t find one with my kids but here is one of me and my brothers!

A spring tradition we have is planting our vegetable garden. The grandkids love to watch them grow.
We go to Sunrise services.
The day before Easter, my daughter and I go shopping and have lunch together. A great day to get some clothes for warmer weather.
When we do egg hunts, the winner gets to pick the dessert I make for the day.
Our spring tradition is to get our yard and garden cleaned up and then have a great big dinner.
I look forward to going without a jacket in the spring. Then (wait for it) I know shorts are coming in the near future.
On Easter , my kids look for their Easter basket and we have a nice Easter dinner
