I received products/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
When I first heard the word “bidet” I thought of a fancy toilet thing people over in Europe used. I admit I was intimidated by it and never thought I’d use on in my life – I had to intention of seeking one out either.
Then one day on Facebook I saw an ad about a bidet and I started thinking that maybe it was something everyday people used. So I took the plunge and decided maybe it was time.
I chose TUSHY because honestly, I loved the price, size and how simple it looked.
Here are 10 Reasons I Love My TUSHY Bidet:
Requires NO electricity or plumbing – this was super important to me because I was not about to pay a plumber or electrician to install one. My husband, who is not the handiest, was able to install our new bidet in less than 30 minutes. He just had to take off our toilet seat, place the bidet, put on the new toilet seat and connected the water line that normally runs to the toilet to the bidet instead. Seriously super easy to install.
Affordable! At less than $100, it is something that I cannot believe I waited so long to get one! The TUSHY Classic is only $69!
It is thin and not overwhelming. I have seen bidets where they are massive and intimidating. The TUSHY bidet is slim but still modern and does the job.
Did you know that wiping with dry paper or wet wipes contributes to the 30 million annual cases of hemorrhoids, UTIs, yeast infections, anal fissures, anal itching etc. – Crazy, right? I prefer my bottom free of anything that doesn’t belong and couldn’t believe that when I learned that.
The nozzle does not touch your bottom. This is a misconception I had as I thought the bidet nozzle would be gross, especially on a toilet you share. Nope it is far back and there is even a setting that allows you to spray out of the nozzle to clean it if needed. One way is to spray your bottom, the other way is nozzle cleaning.
I don’t have to worry about accidentally spraying myself. It is very simple to use and I physically have to turn a dial to turn the water on. I have seen some fancy bidets where it is buttons and what if you accidentally hit one of those buttons? No thanks!
TUSHY fits on most standard two-piece toilets. Not that we have an abnormal toilet but it was nice to not have to worry about sizing or ordering the right one.
I can control the pressure. I like that there is not just an on/off, but rather I physically control how much pressure I want down there. I highly recommended too starting out low and working your way up as the instructions say. What I like may be different than what my husband likes too.
Another misconception I had is that it is toilet water that is spraying on me and isn’t that dirty water? Actually the water sprayed is right from the waterline, same water that also goes to your sink! So basically it is clean water!
Honestly, I just feel cleaner overall. I like how TUSHY puts it ” If a bird pooped on you, would you wipe it off with dry paper? No silly! You’d wash it off.” I have never been able to jump on the wet wipes bandwagon because I am terrified of clogged plumbing and the thought of having dirty wipes in my bathroom garbage is gross too – TUSHY leaves nothing behind but water!
