Gaming & More on the Razer Phone 2

I have always been someone who loves to try things these before everyone else, rather than jumping on the bandwagon. When I was researching phones for my family I came across a brand I had never heard of before…Razer. Before you ask too (since it was my first thought), no I am not talking about the Motorola Razer flip phone.

Razer is actually the world’s leading lifestyle brand for gamers. Razer’s award-winning hardware ranges from high-performance gaming peripherals (for the PC and console platforms) to the Razer Blade gaming laptops, with a smartphone in their product line as well.

The Razer Phone 2 is the ultimate phone for work and gaming. It features mobile gaming power which makes it the ultimate gaming phone while of course being able to handle everyday tasks.

First off, it is an Android phone. I have only ever owned an Android phone and this one definitely does the job. From photos taking to shopping to work emails and finally gaming, it has surprised me. I actually wanted to keep the phone for myself but my gaming-loving son took it over.

Here are some features of the Razer Phone 2:

Long-lasting battery with wireless charging – With an industry-leading 4000 mAh battery means the phone lasts all day which so far we’ve had no issues with the phone not lasting! Wireless charging means you can charge the Razer Phone 2 with a wireless charging base (sold separately) which I have to say is so awesome to be able to do! I love not having to fiddle with cords but rather laying the phone on a charger!

Water-resistant and weather resilient – The phone has been tested to be able to be submerged up to 1 meter of water as well as survive outside weather elements. We have used this phone in the rain so far whereas in the past I have been hesitant because of moisture getting into the phone.

Front-facing dual speakers – this is something you may not think of until you are listening to a phone on speaker or music as it is usually muffled since other phones have speakers in the back.

Gorilla Glass screen – which means super durable screen although I did make sure we put a screen protector on it right anyways for extra security.

There is not a typical headphone jack but a high-fidelity USB Type-C so 3.5mm headphone jack can be used.

Since this is a gaming phone there are so many features to making gaming go smoother, faster and richer.

UltraMotion™ technology means 50% brighter, 120 HZ refresh rate and HDR content support – basically fast processing speed for games so there is no lag or dimness.

Vapor Cooling Chamber and Snapdragon 845 2.8GHz processor – allows heat to spread throughout the phone so there is less hot spots which could affect performance.

Dual lenses with dual Sony IMX Sensors and a wide lens with optical image stabilization – the camera takes amazing photos! The front camera supports FHD video so videos look amazing as well.

Illuminated Razer logo – this is a fun feature that allows the user to customize the phone on the outside as well. This logo also makes it easy for others to spot such an amazing brand. My brother actually saw this phone and was so impressed as he has owned a Razer gaming computer.

Good sized phone. It is the size of bigger phones and honestly I feel like I cannot go back to a smaller phone. I like the bigger screen especially for gaming and movie watching.

Fingerprint reader in the perfect spot. Usually if a phone has a fingerprint reader it is on the back which can be awkward to push. This phone is unique and has it on the side where the power button is!

Overall, I am really loving the new Razer Phone 2 or should I say my son is. It is a phone brand to check out and I am glad I did!
