American Girl Takes On Hockey

My daughter is both a girly girl and a tomboy. She loves her American Girl dolls and makeup but then she also love hockey, which is not typically a girl sport. When the United States women’s national ice hockey team won the gold this year it really marked a turning point for my daughter to realize she could be a successful woman hockey player.

My daughter has been playing hockey for about three years now, this year being her first time on a team and to mark the occasion, I was thrilled to see that American Girl has launched the All Star Hockey Set for 18-inch Dolls.

Until recently we have only seen American Girl sets for sports like figure skating, soccer and cheerleading. To see a hockey set was like a dream come true for my daughter.

The All Star Hockey Set for 18-inch Dolls is probably one of our favorite sets for American Girl dolls because not only is it affordable at less than $100 but it comes with literally everything a hockey player needs. I could not believe how American Girl thought of everything from the hockey bag to chest protector to even hockey tape to tape the stick!

The set allows American Girl doll lovers to not only play hockey with their dolls but have a “friend” dressed with them for their own hockey! My daughter loves playing with her dolls and these accessories and outfit is a great addition to her collection.

The All Star Hockey Set for 18-inch Dolls includes:

• A hockey helmet with a chin strap and metal face guard to keep her safe while she plays
• A team jersey to wear over her shoulder pads
• Protective gear: breezers with padding on the sides, shin guards and a pair of jersey-matching socks to cover them, and elbow pads
