Book Review

Such An Amazing Gift – “The Kids’ Book of Paper Love” #FlowBook

I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

I am always looking for gift ideas and now that my kids are getting older, I want gifts that are meaningful. Growing up books and coloring were always my go-to items. I always had a book and a my giant plastic crayon set with me wherever I went. Nowadays though with tablets and smartphones, I don’t see kids with books or crayons enough – my own kids included.

Recently a book came out that is seriously amazing. Like seriously awesome. It may look like a simple book on the outside but inside is hours and hours of fun.

A surprise on every page!

Brimming from cover to cover with projects and other paper surprises, The Kids’ Book of Paper Love, from the bestselling editors of Flow magazine and books, is a bounty of a book that begs to be folded, cut up, collaged, doodled on, and shared.

Loop paper strips into a paper chain. Snip out bookmarks. Fold a paper house. Make photo booth props—a silly mustache, a crown—to pose with friends. Bind up a DIY storybook and use it to sketch out adventures and dreams. Construct a paper flower bouquet, a paper terrarium, a fortune-teller with prompts like Lend someone a book and tell them why you recommend it.

The Kids’ Book of Paper Love is from the bestselling editors of Flow magazine and books including A Book That Takes Its Time and 50 Ways to Draw Your Beautiful, Ordinary Life. Now Flow enters the children’s section for the first time.

Features of The Kids’ Book of Paper Love:

  • Filled with hundreds of paper products that will keep kids busy for hours. and hours….
  • Chapters include Write, Craft, Play and Share
  • Just add scissors, tape and maybe a glue stick.

This book is meant to be drawn in, ripped out of, and crafted with. There are four sections so depending on your child’s mood that day (or hour) there is a section for them to tackle. I know for me, some days I feel like writing while others I want to create something. This book has so many ideas packed inside it that it is sure to spark any kid’s imagination.

I gave this book to my 8-year-old daughter and she has spent countless hours pouring over it. At first, she was definitely overwhelmed at what to do first but then she started tackling the book. What is great about this book is there is no start or finish, it can be picked up anywhere. Your child can do one page or a bunch of pages which is nice if you don’t have a lot of time (or have a lot of time.)
