A Family Card Game For All Ages: Kids Against Maturity

I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Before kids, my husband and I used to play board and card games regularly. We got together with friends as well as we played at home after dinner to unwind. Games at home were a great way for us to spend quality time together and free as we already owned the games. Once our kids became mobile though we stopped playing and they piled in the closet collecting dust.

For a while, we started playing games with our kids but there is only so much Hi Ho Cherry O and Guess Who that I can play. Once our kids got older we faced the challenge of finding a game that will appeal to all us, from ages 9 to 39 years old.

Kids Against Maturity is a game that is seriously a great family game.

There is not a huge list of rules or instructions to read, just deal out the cards and get started. There are no actual instructions either other than what is printed on the box.

Each player gets 10 white answer cards and takes turns asking the blue question cards.

The person asking the questions sits that round out but gets to be the judge of what the funniest combination of cards is. The person who put down the winning card gets the point and then the next person takes their turn as the judge.

You can play as many rounds as you want and because it is just a deck of cards, the game is also super portable. Pack in your bag for fun at a campout, sleepover or grandma’s house. We actually play a similar game like for adults on New Years every year and this will be great for the kids to have their own game.

This game has been a great addition to our family game nights and is one that my 9-year-old picks every time. She thinks all the cards are absolutely hysterical and her 12 and 13-year-old brothers are right there with her. My husband and I love that we get the kids off electronics and our kids actually enjoy family time with us – believe me this is not the case often with teens!

Feel like you played out all the 500 cards from the Kids Against Maturity deck? There are expansions you can buy that add more 100 cards to your main deck. This is great because it adds more questions and phrases.
