Car Review

Heading to the Beach With the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse

I received this car for one week to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

While the average family is four, I have never been one to follow the norm. Having the extra child though really means I have to have a roomy car. We travel a lot between sports and family living an hour away plus I love exploring local destinations.

The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse is seriously my new favorite SUV for a family of five. It was the perfect car for us to have to head to the beach together.

With the seats going down I was able to fit all five of us, two bikes and our beach bag!

On our way home we were even able to rearrange things because of course everything was a mess.

Amazingly easy navigation system. I knew the name of the beach but not the address but luckily I was able to just type the name and it pulled it up effortlessly.

An outlet in the back row meant my kids could plug in their Nintendo Switch and play it while we made the drive! They also had their own climate controls back there which was nice so they couldn’t complain about our climate up front.

Ability to charge our phones via wireless charging so we didn’t have to worry about loosing battery! We all have newer phones in my household and it worked great for all of us. I miss it now that I don’t have it! No cords to deal with it, just lay it down and the screen tells me it is charging.

Lots of apps including a WiFi Hotspot which meant my daughter could watch YouTube on her tablet.

This is also the first car that had Amazon Alexa built in! We are so used to Alexa at home that sometimes when we get in the car we forget its not in the car…until now.

So many different camera angles is amazing because I can see if there are any kids or obstacles in my way, especially in a place we were not familiar with such as the beach. I forgot to take a photo at the beach of the angles, but here it is in my driveway.

All-Wheel Drive meant no worrying about whatever we had to drive through!

Great extra storage in the trunk that is plastic – I actually threw our wet/sandy stuff in here and didn’t have to worry about it getting on the car carpet.

Roomy backseat which was great because I needed my daughter to fit back there! Some third-row seats don’t have leg room but I didn’t feel like this was the case.

The car must be pretty comfy in the back too as I pulled into the drive to find sleeping children.

Honestly, I have driven a lot of cars in the past years and this is one I can see my family driving around in. For a family of five who dries a lot and needs room, this is a great SUV to keep in mind!
