Collectible and mystery toys have always been hot items and one line this year is no different. Pea Pod Babies are a new line that features adorable little baby dolls packed in pea pods! Yes sounds weird but seriously adorable.
Pea Pod Babies are available in 27 collectible babies that are packed in a silicone peapod with three pods – one with a mystery baby doll, one with a complete outfit and one with a birth certificate and accessory.
Kids not only get the fun of “popping out” each pod and opening them up but then they can play with their new baby doll.
The silicone peapod is also reusable with either putting the three pods back in it or whatever else your child wants it to hold. My daughter hooked hers to her backpack and put trinkets in it – it does not close so definitely don’t put anything little loose in there or it will fall out.
Honestly my 9-year-old daughter thouht these were super fun to open up and see what she was getting (yay surprise!) and silly. She didn’t really know what peapods were and when she realized there were three pods to open with goodies inside, she was excited. I love that Pea Pod Babies gives kids that extra step of fun of opening up the mystery pods rather than just displaying the contents and having kids rip open plastic packaging. The whole set you get is completely reuseable and part of the fun.
Pea Pod Babies are all about diversity as well and all have unique personalities, which makes them fun to collect. Kids can mark off on a checklist which they have and even trade with friends duplicates they may receive. The price point for the baby doll and goodies is not bad that it makes a nice “just because” gift, reward or add-on gift for a child. With 27 to collect too there is a Pea Pod Babies set for every child!
