My 9-year-old daughter is very independent, or at least she tries to be. She loves doing things herself as she of course knows everything already. To try to be sneaky with her, I like to buy toys that are fun to her but secretly educational.

This is such an adorable set and I’ve been looking for somehting like this for awhile for my daughter. She uses a ceramic piggy bank now and now that she is getting older I think it is better for her to learn about money. The design is very simple and easy to use and it is easy for kids to learn about money. I am waiting for her to get some Christmas money to start racking up some money as we recently opened a bank account for her and put all her money in there. I told her she could use her ATM and save up money and once she reached a certain amount, we’d deposit it into the actual bank. This is a great way to teach kids that they can spend a little and watch their money go up and down.

My 9-year-old daughter has always loves playing teacher and house. Her friends and her would come up with all these activities and I thnk she was actually learning.
