Back in 2008, Dream A World Education started offering Secrets of the Heart™ programs in Los Angeles schools to provide arts, social-emotional learning, diversity, culture and language arts to children attending inner-city schools. In an effort to help children all over, Dream A World Education has opened up their program to wherever children are learning!

Secrets of the Heart™ TV standards-based virtual programming takes kids on a journey of self-discovery where they can learn more about who they are and how they are all connected. The program is an arts-based social emotional-learning (SEL) program designed for kids in their most formative years, from 4 – 8, Transitional Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The lessons are all arts based – music, dance, theatre, visual arts and puppetry – and teach concepts like kindness, courage, compassion and creativity.

I love how the program starts out with a Parent Orientation encouraging participation in a family art project – creating a vision-board collage that reflects the family’s future hopes and dreams. This is a such a great idea especially with all of us reflecting on the year and our futures. The program is also designed for school and teacher use, many Montessori schools use the Secrets of the Heart TV program.
