Family Pizza Night with Chicago’s Connie’s Pizza

Sometimes I try to remember my life not being busy and jam-packed but I basically have to go back to before kids. Having three kids, life has always been busy from them growing and going through their life stages and now being active in sports. I currently have three kids in travel sports, all of them playing on multiple teams too. Add in boy scouts and regular family activities and we are busy every night of the week. Honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way and when we do have a free night I feel like we are forgetting something!

With our family being so busy I have taken to meal planning as much as I can, it is something I am slowly getting better at. I also have to find meals that all five of us will eat, including my middle child who has food allergies. One meal I can rely on is pizza and luckily with frozen pizza I can have dinner on the table in less than 20 minutes.

Connie’s Pizza has been our family’s pizza of choice for a while now and it has yet to let us down. I can buy two frozen pizzas and my family has a quick and yummy meal.

Why Connie’s Pizza? I was born and raised in Chicago and even though I now live 45 minutes outside the city in a suburb I love that I can bring my hometown pizza to our kitchen table, without driving into the city! I started curbside pickup shopping last year and absolutely love the convenience of it plus I never forget anything anymore! I shop for Connie’s Pizza at our local Jewel but you can also find them at Mariano’s, Berkot’s and Meijer.

Did you know Connie’s was founded as a Chicago pizzeria in 1963? I had no idea they have been around that long but they have definitely perfected the pizza flavor and taste.

By introducing frozen pizzas to their line, families can have their own pizzeria feel without leaving the kitchen.

Our family favorite is Connie’s Thin Crust Sausage. The crust is perfectly thin and crisps up nicely, the all-natural ingredients make it taste homemade and not artificially flavored and then there is the famous cornmeal-dusted crust which completes the flavor.

How do we make a frozen pizza a family dinner?

Since we do a pizza night at least once a week we like to mix it up. We add sides to complete our meal including side salads, applesauce, veggies with dip, soup or fried appetizers. I love how versatile pizza is and the flavors of Connie’s Thin Crust Sausage pizzas really do go with anything!

  • We like pizza nights here too. This sounds like a great frozen option. I wish they had these here.
