Preschool “Green Life” Games from Adventerra Games

I received products in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

My parents never recycled when I was growing up or talked about global warming. Composting in our city apartment was not gonna happen either. I don’t think its because my parents didn’t care about the planet or taking care of it, I think they just didn’t think they could make a difference. I learned though in school how everyone big and small can make a difference so I try and teach my kids now to try.

Adventerra Games is a company that makes games “designed to make children aware of environmental issues through actions and concrete examples (waste reduction, recycling, use of renewable energy, etc.).”

All of the Adventerra games even use environmentally friendly raw materials (both recycled and recyclable), and instead of plastic, they use sustainable wooden pieces and biodegradable film made from sugar cane.

Here are three new games from Adventerra Games for preschoolers to become better better eco-citizens:

Polar Adventure: Disappearing Ice

A game that introduces children to the problem of climate change and how it endangers the lives of polar animals. After building the polar environment, each player takes turns to roll the die and move their animal forward, aiming to be the first player to lead it to the safety of the big iceberg.

Hungry Bins: Learn to Recycle

Hungry Bins is a classification game that introduces children to how to recycle and compost. Children discover different types of materials and learn to recognize their respective collection bins. To make the matching process easier, each token features the color of the corresponding bin.

Saving Water Ecologic Puzzle

With these 12 Saving Water mini puzzles, children learn about the importance of water, and how to conserve this precious resource. The pieces feature colored edges and self-correcting joints that help players to match them. On the red-edged pieces, adorable sea creatures show how to wastewater in everyday life, but on the green-edged pieces, they show ways that children can save water!

I love that a company has created a line of so many great fun yet educational games. We all know kids are like sponges and soak up everything around them so why not teach them while they are young about respecting the planet. We are all still learning but a little can go a long way. I know I love pointing out things that are recycled and having my kids see how plastic bottles or paper can turn into something else.
