Camping Essentials for the Whole Family

You’re itching to take the family out on an adventure, and the mountains are calling your name. It’s time to get ready for a family camping trip! The fun nature walks, the s’mores by the fire, it’s all the perfect recipe for some quality family fun time. One surefire way to ensure everyone has a great time is to pack all of the right essentials for your little ones.

So what items do you absolutely need for your camping trip to keep your kids comfortable and happy? Whether it’s for older children or a young baby, make sure you get everything on your list to help make some magical family memories on your upcoming camping trip.

For Baby

  • A Baby Carrier: Keep your little one closeby and off the ground with a comfortable baby carrier. This baby front carrier is a great option, and one that you’ll be happy to wear all day!
  • A Portable Crib: Everyone will have a good night’s sleep when the baby sleeps well. Set them up for success with a comfortable portable crib for your big family camping trip.
  • Portable Binky Sanitizer: There’s nothing worse than that beloved binky falling on the ground on a hike or at the campsite. Keep it clean and sanitized with a portable binky sanitizer.

For Kids

  • Comfortable Shoes: Make sure your little one has the right shoes so that they can do as much of the hike themselves as possible! Some kids hiking shoes will last a long time and ensure plenty of fun adventures.
  • Hiking Backpack: Give them a place to store all of their snacks and treasures  they find along the way with a high quality hiking backpack. Find one that fits their style and let them bring it along!
  • A Light Source: Eliminate any fear of the dark and let the fun carry on even after the sun’s gone down! A powerful lantern can easily be set on a tabletop for games or stories.

For Everyone

  • Sunscreen: No matter how old you are, you need some protection from the sun. Prevent uncomfortable sunburns by applying some sunscreen every few hours.
  • A Roomy Tent: Make sure you have a tent that comfortably accommodates your family! Consider how much space your sleeping bags and a port a crib will need and plan accordingly.
  • Camping Stove: Make some warm, delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner by using a portable camping stove. Everyone is happier when their bellies are full, so bring the right tools to make sure you’re prepping filling food!

Taking the family out on a big camping trip is a wonderful way to make some new memories together. However, don’t forget any of the essentials before you head up into the mountains! Make a checklist and don’t forget any of our must-have items to help make your family vacation a success. Happy camping!
