I was the first of our friends and my siblings to have kids and one thing I learned is that you can’t go wrong with stuffed animals. Kids love stuffed animals and they are great because they don’t make noise, need batteries or go out of style. A good stuffed plush can also last your child years and even be passed down. Ther are also my go-to for when I need a gift.

Red & Olive Co. is a company that makes adorable plushes for growing imaginations. The company is a woman-owned business that hopes to connect families through cultural influences. They also empower women and families from Peru to create the plushes through flexible schedules and fair wages. In addition to being ethnically handmade, the company donates 10% of our sales to organizations and programs benefitting seriously ill kids all across the US.

There are baby-sized plushes (about 7 inches) and bigger ones (about 20 inches) – perfect for siblings to each have a plush matching of their own. There are even a few hats, bows and sweaters to accessorize the plush. I also hate to use the word plush as its more than just a stuffed animal and they are knitted. They are so soft and cuddly.

Honestly, this is a great company to support and the products are adorable and benefit a great cause. While they do cost more than what you may find at your local big-box retailer or department store, these are products that can be passed down and will stand up to daily cuddles. So far so good over here with them!
