When I was younger I remember begging for a Highlights magazine subscription and being so excited when I finally got one for my birthday. Every month I would pour over the magazine for hours and read it over and over. Then when I had my own kids it was a must-have for me to get them. I will say my boys were not as thrilled about it as my daughter was but it definitely is a brand that has kept my family busy.

Did you know that Highlights has books as well as magazine subscriptions? I had no clue and it was definitely something I was excited to check out and just in time for the holidays the books make great gifts.

Each month features a calendar to tell kids facts that happened in the month and various days like National Napping Day. Great book for any curious kid!
