I have always been a big reader and have surrounded myself with books; unfortunately, my boys did not inherit that from me. My husband and I tried to read to our kids when they were little but they just wanted to play or squirm in our laps. With my youngest we even tried apps for reading which helped but then she’d get sidetracked with a game.

Moonlite is a storybook projector for your mobile phone that just clips on your phone and displays visuals of the stories to a wall. There are currently a few collections available to choose from.

My kids have always loved the Eric Carle books and I had to check this out as I am always looking for gift ideas. Basically, the Moonlite projects the story with pictures so kids can engage with the characters.

To use Moonlite you must first download a free app. Then you activate your projector and you are ready to go. The projector clips on your smartphone super easily and I will say I was worried about it fitting on my Samsung Note 20 with its case but it fits just fine. The clip is similar to a chip or hanger clip.

Once the projector is on you just slip in the story reel and click it around to enjoy the story projected on the wall or ceiling. Super easy to use! You get five books to enjoy to light up your storytime. It is definitely a unique way to bring storytime to life.
