How to Create a High-End Kitchen For Less

Are you looking for ways to improve the appearance of your kitchen on a budget? In this article, we will go over several tips on how to make your kitchen look more high-end without having to break the bank.

Update The Hardware

Hardware can update and completely change the look of any piece of furniture. The same goes for your kitchen cabinets. Simply replacing your cabinet and drawer pulls for some new, unique pulls can instantly update the overall look of the entire kitchen.

Update The Flooring

Updating the flooring is probably one of the more expensive options on our list. However, updating your flooring can create a completely new look for your kitchen. With the right flooring, your kitchen can look extremely high-end. Installing a resin floor in your kitchen is a great idea as this can create a gorgeous appearance. Resin comes in many colors and can add a beautiful, unique charm to your kitchen space.

Treat It With a Lick of Paint

Similar to updating the flooring, treating the walls with a lick of paint is a great way to update and improve the appearance of your kitchen. If your current kitchen walls are looking a little bit dull or outdated, you may be surprised about how much of a difference a bit of paint can make. If you don’t need to paint the walls, consider painting the cabinets. This can improve the appearance of the cabinets and completely change the aesthetic of the room.

Use Light Colors

Light colors on your walls and cabinets can help to make the kitchen look instantly brighter. A brighter room looks much larger and, therefore, more expensive. Lighter colors can help to reflect light and can hide a range of issues such as dents, dings, and scratches on your cabinet doors.

Replace The Cabinet Doors

Replacing your old cabinet doors is also a great way to make your kitchen appear more high-end. New kitchen cabinets can create a sleek new aesthetic for your kitchen. Opt for some glass or high-gloss cabinet doors for an added bit of glam, or completely remove some doors to create some areas with open shelving for a more interesting appearance. Alternatively, you could consider custom MDF cabinets from Lovech for a durable and stylish upgrade.

Change The Lighting

Some fancy lighting pieces such as chandeliers or pendants are great accessories for brightening your kitchen and making it appear more high-end. Choose something unique that adds some charm to the room. The right lighting choice can add a lot of personalities and can really bring the room together.

Add Some Artwork

Artwork is a great way to improve the appearance of the kitchen. Don’t be afraid to add some large, bold artwork to the room, as this will give the illusion of a much larger space. Art is also a great option for those who are renting and don’t have the freedom to make as many changes as they’d like to.

Paint The Appliances Stainless Steel

If you don’t have stainless steel appliances, there is something you can do to achieve this high-end look. Purchase some paint-on stainless steel to update the appearance of your appliances and make them look more modern. Be aware that companies make different types of stainless steel finishes depending on the type of appliance that you are applying it to.

Add Some Window Treatments

If your windows are looking a little bit bare, consider dressing them up to instantly improve the appearance of your kitchen. A gorgeous set of blinds is a great option for creating a modern, high-end aesthetic.

Style Your Breakfast Nook

If you have a breakfast nook in your kitchen, you can quickly improve the appearance in this area by styling it up a bit. Consider adding some throw pillows to the area along with a centrepiece or some fresh flowers to style up your breakfast area and improve the overall look of your kitchen.

Replace Old Decorative Items

If you have some old decorative items lingering in your kitchen, think about changing these with some more modern pieces. Change your old fruit bowl with a gorgeous ginger jar or a tray. Sometimes even the most subtle of changes can make the biggest differences. Take a quick scan of your kitchen and pick out a few old items that you can change with something more modern.

Hide Small Appliances

There is nothing that can bring down a space quite like clutter. With this in mind, be sure to keep your countertops as clear as possible by putting away your small appliances like blenders, toasters, and coffee pots. These smaller appliances are usually easy enough to take out as and when you want to use them. All of that extra space on your counter will make your kitchen look much tidier and also bigger.
