When we bring our children into the world, every milestone counts. We care about them laughing for the first time, as well as saying their first word, crawling and walking. They’re a brand new human, and every achievement in their development is something to appreciate and remember.
Of course, dates are often a part of that. Our child’s first, second and third birthdays can be wonderful experiences, and you’re all sure to have a great time. However, it’s also true that, quite naturally, your child probably won’t remember all of the effort you went to in throwing a massive birthday bash for them; so, perhaps saving your money now is worthwhile and you can throw a bigger event when they’re able to remember it.
Throwing a birthday party for a child too young to remember it doesn’t have to be overcomplex, it can be simple, nice, rewarding, and a good chance to get together with your family. In this post, we’ll discuss some tips for preparing in this light, helping you enjoy yourself and celebrate the first year of being a parent, or the first year of being a parent with this many children.
Encourage A Family Gathering
It’s highly likely that your friends and family may wish to come along to celebrate the first, second or third birthday of your child, and so putting together a relatives and friends event can be a good use of your time.
While your child might not remember the event or at least all of its details, your family will certainly remember them at this age. Perhaps that’s all that matters. After all, it’s likely that someone will take pictures, bring some food to the party, and make the atmosphere enjoyable, and so that’s all you can really ask for.
On top of that, a home gathering or a nice meal out at a restaurant can be a fun time, and it won’t break your bank. In these trying times, there’s no shame in hoping to save some money.
Utilize Worthwhile Party Supplies
Renting your local community hall for a very reasonable fee (these event spaces are usually more than happy to accommodate local families), setting up some tables, some speakers, and party supplies is enough for a fun event where everyone gets to let off some steam.
Here you may even play a few silly party games, or set up a ball pit the friends from your child’s nursery can come and have fun in. Not much is required for a fun time, only togetherness, the right decors, and party peripherals.
Consider An Event Suitable For Children
You may be able to head on a day out with your family to a lovely event space, perhaps driving a little while to the local aquarium could be a good example. This way, your child gets to see something they may never have seen before, in relatively peaceful surroundings, and this can be enjoyable for your older children or relatives too.
In some cases, theatre shows suitable for young children, or event spaces designated for them to play in safey can be a fun time, also. For instance, many warehouse play zones with large ball pits and climbing areas will have a smaller location to jump around and have fun in, appropriate for toddlers.
Sit back, relax (or join in, they love it when the grown-ups get involved!) and watch as your little one has the party of a lifetime, run by their favourite fairytale character!
You get to decide if and when you’ll attend any of these event types, but it’s good to get out and to socialize with your friends and family in an event designed for the children at least, and it can also save you the intensity of planning a distinct event or inviting many people over to your house, with all that implies.
Simply Play With Them
What if you have little money, little time, and little intention to do anything significant right now? Well, that’s absolutely fine as well. As we’ve said and focused on in this post, your child is too young to remember their birthday party anyway and probably won’t lament going without anything too large this year.
It’s totally understandable if you’re running low on funds, or have to work, or are perhaps dealing with a problem of your own at the time. Simply spending some time playing with your child and having a fun time with them is what will help your bond grow even more than it already is, and it also helps you relieve stress and bring some joy into your life, too. That’s more than enough.
With this advice, you’re sure to plan suitably for your child’s foremost birthday experiences. They’re sure to have a great time regardless.

I think low key and less stress is the best way to throw a party for a young child. Good suggestion to consider an event suitable for children and spending fun time playing.
