Inspired by a remarkable true story, 5000 BLANKETS is filled with hope and highlights the power of family and faith. When her husband has a mental break-down and goes missing, a woman and her young son set out to find him on the streets, sparking a movement of compassion towards those in need and inspiring a city.

Phillip’s Wish is an organization that was founded by a little boy who saw a need in the world and decided to do something about it.

Whether you are looking for a family movie to watch together or a feel-good movie for winter. 5,000 Blankets is an inspiring true story of a mother and son who rallied within their community to help serve their community after facing mental illness within their family.

It can be so easy to overlook others’ needs or just be too busy this time of the year, this is a great movie to serve as a reminder to help others. This movie is rated PG-13 because it deals with a dad who suffers from mental illness and how their family survives with it.
