Riding ATVs at Jayell Ranch {Near Pigeon Forge, TN}

Now that my kids are getting older it has become harder to plan vacations that everyone will enjoy. My daughter is pretty easy going but not tall or old enough for activities that my boys (14 and 15 years old) want to do. When we were planning our fall vacation last year I asked my kids what they wanted to do and one thing that was a must for my boys were ATVs. Let me tell you that finding ATVs that you don’t have to be 16 years old to drive is super hard! Luckily I found a place in Sevierville, TN which is just miles from Pigeon Forge. Now I had heard good things about Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area so I started researching and found there was plenty of do there for a week and my boys would knock off driving ATVs on their bucket list!

So what does Jayell Ranch offer?

  • ATVs and UTVs
  • Ziplines
  • Horseback Riding
  • Mountain Slide
  • Monkey and Exoctic Bird Experience

You really could spend a whole day at Jayell Ranch but we handed planned ahead and had evening plans so we just did ATVs and the Mountain Slide. You pay for the activities you are doing and there are packages to make it cheaper if you do more than one. Our kids did the unlimited mountain slide rides while we relaxed on some swings at the bottom!

Oh and they had stuff you could walk around and enjoy for free as well like this giant jumping pillow!

How were the ATVs?

Amazing! My husband, boys and I each drove our own ATV and my 11-year-old daughter sat on the back of mine. After a quick tutorital and helmet fiting you are off on the 12 mile guided ATV tour. Our tour was great and went at the pace we wanted. I highly reommend the least experienced (which was me) drive at the front of the line rather than hold up the tour while they wait for you. I started in the back and then once I moved to the front I felt more confident.

The tour goes through rolling foothills with views of the Smoky Mountains. I admit at some parts I was getting nervous going up around these rocky trails but we made it and I loved that we did it as a family. At the top of the hill we stopped for photos and our tour guide gave us some history of the area. I felt safe and my kids had a blast.

Check out Jayell Ranch

If you have a day make a day of it otherwise at least check out the ATVs which we highly recommend!

  • I have a 14 yr old and a 17 yr old and I would like to rent ATV's for them (Oh, and of course for me and my hubby)

    Can you share with me how the process works, cost, and how long we would be out on the ATV?
