Visiting the Largest Titanic Museum Attraction {Pigeon Forge, TN}

I received discounted tickets in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

I have always been fascinated with Titanic ever since I was a child and then even more so when I saw the movie. I have written papers about it and read various books. Visiting a Titanic museum has always been on my bucket list so when we decided to visit the Pigeon Forge area in Tennessee I of course knew we had to go!

Seriously the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge is absolutely amazing, starting with the incredible outside appearance. I mean how could you not want to go in!

So what makes the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge so amazing?

After waiting in line you receive a boarding pass identifying a passenger on the real Titanic that you are going to act as you walk through the exhibits.

It is pretty amazing how detailed it is and at the end of the museum, you get to find out the fate of your passenger in the Titanic Memorial Room where 2,208 names line this historic wall.

The staff at the museum are all in costume as what their positions would have been on the Titanic themselves and they are all knowledgeable about Titanic. Seriously amazing how in character the staff is and stays.

You get to view $4.5 million+ of Titanic artifacts! Actual artifacts that were pulled up from the waters of Titanic. It is amazing to see the history of them and how they were restored. These items are literally priceless and luckily the craftsmanship back then was pretty amazing that stuff lasted.

Walk the $1 Million exact replica of Titanic’s Grand Staircase – honestly I pictured the movie when I saw it but to think it is a replica of the actual one that was on the ship is amazing.

Touch an iceberg and feel 28-degree water – yes its cold and after seeing the view the captain would have seen you can then go outside and feel the water.

There are various interactive kid’s hands-on experiences including, shoveling “coal” in Titanic’s Boiler Room and Tot-Titanic – an interactive area for young guests 8 and under.

Visitors can sit in an actual size lifeboat which was way bigger than I expected! Seriously it was huge and wooden, not a flimsy raft like I expected. You can also listen to true passenger stories.

View the World’s Largest Titanic Model with LEGO® BRICKS which was made by a 10-year-old boy!

While we were there we got to hear from an actual Captain who got to go on a Titanic expedition and he shared his experience and even a few pieces of rust he brought up from the Titanic. It was amazing to hear a first-hand experience. Now we got lucky to see him but the Titanic Museum has events all the time to enjoy.
