Embassy Suites Miami Aiport – Perfect for Cruises

A few months ago my family and I flew to Miami the day before our cruise set sail. We also travel a day early in case there are issues with flights because there are way more choices for flights if you need to rebook but a cruise is not going to wait for you.

I didn’t need anything fancy because we were literally getting there at dinner time and leaving the next morning for our cruise. I didn’t want something gross either and you never know what you are going to get with downtown areas.

Embassy Suites is a Hilton hotel and it is our go-to hotel when we find one available. I wasn’t sure it would be worth saving the money staying a little further than I’d like but it was definitely worth it.

The Embassy Suites Miami Airport hotel has so many great perks:

• Free airport shuttle that picked us up right outside baggage claim. We had no issues with this and it saved us on the Uber to the hotel.
• Happy Hour with free snacks and drink tickets, free soda as well. We had chips and salsa, fruit, veggies with dip and pretzels. There might have been more but we go there towards the end. Again this is all free!
• Lots of cruisers were there so it must be a popular hotel to use the night before your cruise.
• Free hot big breakfast buffet with made to order omlets. This is one of my favorite perks of Embassy Suites because breakfast for five people adds up!
• Nothing really in the area foodwise to get without a car but we were able to order pizza easily and it was reasonably priced. There is an onsite restaurant but it is a little pricey for a big family.
• There is a pool but we were there in December and didn’t have time to swim anyways.
• Big clean room with a suite area so all five of us slept comfortably.
• About 20 minutes from the cruise ports and we had no issues catching an Uber.

I highly recommend Embassy Suites Miami Airport. It gave our trip a positive start!
