Book Review: "I’ll Make You An Offer You Can’t Refuse" by Michael Franzese

With my husband going to grad school for Business and with my background in Business, I am always looking for new and relevant books. I came across the book “I’ll Make You An Offer You Can’t Refuse” by Michael Franzese. Now Michael Franzese as you probably have guessed is a former Mobster, actually he was a Mob Boss. Well now that he is reformed, he has decided to share his tips on surviving in the business world. Now I know that it may sound funny, taking business advice from a mobster, but I have noticed that business is business and his theories make sense.

“I’ll Make You An Offer You Can’t Refuse” is actually classified as a General Business & Economics book, but it definitely has some humor to it. Michael Franzese was a capo in the Columbo crime family where he earned millions a week and then walked away to become straight. He has served his time and now he shares his lessons on how to get the most from your business to everyone from executives to small business owners. He references street experiences, philosophies, and strategies to succeed legally. He offers: Strategies for winning, What kind of people you need in your crew, ethical pitfalls, coming out ahead in negotiations, and more.

The book is a super easy read and is separated into chapters so you can read some or all of it. I read it all as it was pretty interesting how he compared and related things.
Another great feature of this book? It is considered a “Nelsonfree” book which means that not only do you get the actual book you purchased, but also an ebook and audio version to download. It is super easy to download the other versions and it is nice to change up the format.
