SinuCleanse Review – Yeah for feeling better!

Med-Systems, Inc created SinuCleanse nasal wash system. In 1997, Dr. Diane Heatley, a leading ear, nose, and throat physician based out of Madison, Wisconsin, with the help of Dave Gallo, founded Med-Systems, Inc. Dr. Heatley was intrigued when one of her nurses introduced the neti pot nasal wash and began using it in her practice. Soon Dr. Heatley began recommending using it every day for both children and adults who suffer from sinus disease. What surprised me is that 70 million Americans are currently suffering from sinus problems.

Nasal irrigation (or washing with a saline solution) has been practiced for hundreds of years and is gaining popularity because it is a natural, safe, and relatively inexpensive way to treat and reduce allergies. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology has stated that the cost of treating allergic rhinitis is about $11.2 billion! That is crazy! And with so much out there it can be hard to find a safe, inexpensive and effective way to treat your nasal problems. With spring allergies in season and dry weather just around the corner, I thought it was a perfect time to write about some great nasal products.

Well I am one of those 70 million that suffers from nasals issues. Whether it is my allergies acting up, a cold, or just to clear up a dry stuffy nose, I can always find a use for SinuCleanse products. So when I was sent some SinuCeanse products to check out, I was super excited as I am always looking for something new! I was sent the SinuCleanse Neti Pot, SinuCleanse Squeeze, and the SinuCleanse Kids Mist. Each product worked wonderfully and quickly. All their products naturally relieves: Allergies, Nasal Congestion, Sinus Infections, Dry Air, Post-Nasal Drip, Sinus Headaches, and Rhinitis of Pregnancy.

SinuCleanse Neti Pot Features:

• #1 selling neti pot worldwide
• Based upon unique, time-tested delivery system
• Uses a 100% all-natural saline solution
• Completely free from side effects and has no drug interactions
• Made of unbreakable plastic and is dishwasher safe to prevent contamination

The Neti Pot was so easy to set up and use, and is such an interesting product. I had never used a product like this before; I had only used products that shot a solution up my nose. All you do is put a SinuCleanse Saline Packet and some lukewarm water into the Neti Pot, and then you place the pot spout into your nostril. You just let the neti pot flush through your nostrils and it yeah your nose is cleaned of mucus! It may sound weird to use, but it works and it is easy. You may want to start off with half the solution and work up to a full packet, as it can be strong. Both my husband and I used this product and were satisfied with it. I was surprised also that the Neti Pot comes also with 30 packets, which could last quite awhile!

SinuCleanse Squeeze Features:

• Easy to fill, wide-mouth bottle
• Ergonomic tip to fit comfortably in most nostrils
• Anti-Back Wash Valve
• Quick thread cap to put on and off
• Very Easy to handle and hold
• Top-Rack Dishwasher Safe

The SinuCleanse Squeeze is basically a large version of what you may have used for a child. I actually used this on myself to show my son that the small one I use on him is not so scary. I prefer the Squeeze as I felt it pushed more solution through my nose faster and I felt a quicker relief. To use the Squeeze, you just put a packet of the SinuCleanse Saline Packet and some lukewarm water into the Squeeze bottle. Then you place the bottle tip into your nostril and squeeze. Then when you are all done, pop the bottle into the dishwasher and it is ready to use the next time.

Sinus Cleanse Kids Mist Features:

• Ultra-Fine Mist perfect for a sensitive nose
• 100% All Natural Ingredients
• No Preservatives (so no damage to your child’s nose)
• Pre-Measured and Precise Doses
• Anti-Back Wash Valve prevents Re-Contamination
• Safe for Newborns to Children 12 years old
• Scientifically Proven and provides Immediate Relief

My sons love the SinuCleanse Kids Mist. Okay, well I am sure they don’t love it, but they definitely like it better than the nasal aspirator I usually use on them. Both boys for whatever reason have awful noses that are always stuffy, dry, or runny. Aidan (27 months) finally started allowing me to do the saline drops but Gavin (10 months) is too wild and the drops always run into his eyes. With the Kids Mist, you gently place the tip right inside the nostril and spray. It is smooth and safe. Neither boy complained when I tried it on them, and Gavin actually got a lot of mucus out. I was very impressed with this product as I hate having to do this to them, but at least with the Kids Mist I know that it will provide immediate relief and they don’t cry when I use it. You can also keep the solution in the bottle for 7 days so you can use it for a week before adding fresh solution. I highly recommend this over saline drops and a nasal aspirator. It is also nice that you get the Mister and a 3-week supply, and then you can purchase refills.

(Here is Mr. Independent Aidan who had to try out the Kids Mist first before I could use it on him!)

Dr. Heatley is currently the Associate Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison, where she practices pediatric otolaryngology. She created Kids Mist since it doesn’t require touching the inside of the nose and other products can be difficult to use with children.

Now you may be wondering if you can use SinuCleanse products while you are taking Allergy medications. If you use antihistamines, nasal washing is actually encouraged to help with the mucus-thickening effects that every antihistamine medication causes. Since it is natural, you don’t have to worry about over doing it with medicines, and if you are an allergy sufferer like me, then you are probably willing to do and try anything that may help. Another concern of mine was whether you could use SinuCleanse while pregnant. Not that I am pregnant now but I do hope to have another child and I remember how awful I felt when my allergies acted up during my pregnancy. Since the solution passes through your sinuses, it is not absorbed so you don’t have to worry about it.

The SinuCleanse system is comprised of 5 different products now: Neti Pot, Starter Kit, Squeeze, Kids Mist, and Saline Packets. So however you prefer to relieve your nasal problems, SinuCleanse has you covered! The products originally sold only locally in Wisconsin have now expanded to stores in 5,227 locations and 44 states! You can check here for a complete list of retailers and locations near you, or look for SinuCleanse products at Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, GNC, Longs Drugs, and Kroger.
